On 27 August 2008 the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and on 22 December 2008 the Government of the Republic of Indonesia deposited, with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, instruments of accession to the UNIDROIT Statute to take effect as of 1 January 2009. UNIDROIT now has 63 member States.
