img01On Monday 14 October UNIDROIT Secretary-General Ignacio Tirado delivered a presentation on “UNIDROIT and its importance to EU Member States” to the EU Working Party on Civil Law Matters at the EU Council in Brussels.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Under the Finnish Presidency of the Council, the meeting considered UNIDROIT’s major legislative work projects and future work programme for 2020 – 2022. In particular, the Secretary-General emphasised the importance of the Cape Town Convention and its Protocols for EU Member States and updated participants on preparations for the MAC Protocol Diplomatic Conference to be held in Pretoria, South Africa between 11 – 22 November 2019.
