img01On 12  December 2019, the 78th session of the General Assembly of UNIDROIT was held at the seat of the Institute in Rome.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

img02The Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Nigeria was elected Chairperson of the General Assembly 2019-2020. The General Assembly then approved the UNIDROIT Work Programme for the 2020-2022 Triennium and took note of the Statement regarding the Organisation’s activity in 2019. As far as appointments were concerned, the Assembly approved the appointment of a new auditor, as well as the reappointment of the current members of the Administrative Tribunal.  It also approved the Accounts of the 2018 financial year, adopted the draft Budget 2020 as well as the new Contribution Chart applicable to Member States from the 2020 financial year. Finally, the Assembly also took note of the progress in the implementation of the compensation and social security package offered to UNIDROIT staff.
