img01On 30 April, Secretary-General Ignacio Tirado was invited to participate in an online forum entitled “Toward Coordinated Implementation of International Standards for Secured Transactions” co-organised by the Kozolchyk National Law Center (NatLaw) and the World Bank Group. 

 

 

 

After an introduction by the organisers Elaine MacEachern (Sr. Credit Infrastructure Specialist, World Bank Group) and Marek Dubovec (Executive Director, NatLaw) ,  Professor Tirado and UNCITRAL Secretary Ms Anna Joubin-Bret both provided their introduction on their views as head of International Standard Setters, followed by a very rich programme addressing the efforts to modernize secured transactions frameworks through effective implementation of international standards, including speakers from both governmental and intergovernmental agencies, as well as the private sector and academia.
