During the development of the Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment and the Protocol to the Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment on Matters Specific to Aircraft Equipment, it emerged that some of their provisions (for example, provisions permitting the exercise of extra-judicial remedies) could be inconsistent with principles inherent to some legal systems. To enable the benefits of the Convention and Aircraft Protocol to be made widely available, the Convention and the Aircraft Protocol give Contracting States the opportunity, in Articles that provide for declarations to be made, to make choices in respect of those Articles.
Texts of declarations deposited under the Convention arranged by Article:
|Article 39(1)||Article 50||Article 54(2)|
|Article 39(4)||Article 52||Article 55|
|Article 40||Article 53||Article 60(1)|
|Article 48(2)||Article 54(1)|
