THIRD MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE ON EMERGING MARKETS ISSUES, FOLLOW-UP AND IMPLEMENTATION

The Third meeting of the Committee on Emerging Markets Issues, Follow-Up and Implementation established by the diplomatic Conference to Adopt a Convention on Substantive Rules regarding Intermediated Securities was held in Istanbul, Turkey (11 – 13 November 2013). Days one and two of the meeting consisted in an open Colloquium on financial markets law, which considered general measures to create a favourable environment for trading in intermediated securities. Day three consisted in a meeting of Committee members and observers to consider the methodology and possible topics for drafting a Legislative Guide on Principles and Rules Capable of Enhancing Trading in Securities in Emerging Markets, as well as other measures to implement the 2009 Geneva Securities Convention and incorporate it in domestic law. >>> Further information
