UNIDROIT INSTRUMENTS PRESENTED AT SEMINAR IN MADRID

unidroit instruments img01On 13 May UNIDROIT partnered with the Catedra de Estudios Juridicos Iberoamericanos to deliver a seminar on “UNIDROIT and the Codification of International Private Law”.

Hosted by the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and co-chaired by UNIDROIT Secretary-General Professor Ignacio Tirado and UNIDROIT Governing Council Member Professor Alfonso-Luis Calvo Caravaca, the seminar brought together experts and academics working in the fields of private international law and international commercial law. Presentations were made by Spanish experts and UNIDROIT Secretariat officers on UNIDROIT’s role in unifying international private law and the lex mercatoria, the UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial Contracts, the Cape Town Convention and its Protocols and UNIDROIT’s work on Contract Farming and Agricultural Land Investment Contracts.
