UNIDROIT PARTICIPATES IN SIRIUS SPACE TALKS’18 CONFERENCE IN TOULOUSE

sirius space pict02On 23 October 2018, UNIDROIT was invited to participate in a panel discussion on ‘Space Markets’ at the SIRIUS Space Talks’18 conference in Toulouse, France. The conference was organised by SIRIUS Chair – a business chair founded on a private-public partnership between CNES, Airbus Defence and Space, Thales Alenia Space, Toulouse Capitole 1 University and the Toulouse Business School. The theme for this year’s conference was: “Space Economy: Urgent Need for New Global Regulation?”.

 

 

Hamza Hameed (UNIDROIT) delivered a presentation titled: ‘’Asset-based Financing in the Space Industry: The Space Protocol of the Cape Town Convention – An International Instrument to Enable Secured Transactions in Space Assets’’, in a panel chaired by Alain De Boisseson (Head of Legal Department at CNES) with co-panellists Diane Howard (Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University) and Cécile Gaubert (Avocat – Paris Bar).
