RAIL PROTOCOL – AUTHENTIC TEXTS

The Rail Protocol was adopted in a single original in the English, French and German languages, all texts being equally authentic (upon verification by the Secretariat of the Conference under the authority of the President of the Conference within ninety days after the adoption of the text as to the consistency of the texts with one another).

The Rail Protocol having been authenticated in three languages, the text is equally authoritative in each language. The terms of the treaty are presumed to have the same meaning in each authentic text. [Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties signed at Vienna on 23 may 1969, Article 33]
