UNIDROIT signs Memorandum of Understanding with INRILE

On 29 October 2025, UNIDROIT and the Italian-Norwegian Research Institute for Law and Economics (“INRILE”) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions in connection with the activities of the UNIDROIT Nordic Law Centre.
The signing ceremony took place at the UNIDROIT Headquarters in Rome, where the MoU was signed by Professor Ignacio Tirado, Secretary-General of UNIDROIT, and Professor Valerio Lemma, Italian President of INRILE.

INRILE is a non-profit association established under Italian civil law, dedicated to fostering bilateral Italy–Norway research and advanced training in economic law. The Institute is directed by Professor Valerio Lemma (University of Guglielmo Marconi, Luiss Guido Carli University) and Professor Mads Andenæs (University of Oslo).
The Memorandum of Understanding provides a general framework to enhance collaboration between UNIDROIT and INRILE, promoting joint research initiatives, partnerships in organising international events, and other activities of mutual interest.

The signing ceremony was attended by Professor Giuditta Cordero-Moss (University of Oslo, Co-Coordinator of the UNIDROIT Nordic Law Centre), Professor Francesco Affinito (Università degli Studi Guglielmo Marconi), and Ms Theodora Kostoula (UNIDROIT Legal Consultant, Co-Coordinator of the UNIDROIT Nordic Law Centre).
