Armenia

Ruzanna Abrahamyan

Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia

Ruzanna Abrahamyan is a Lecturer at the National Agrarian University of the Republic of Armenia and a practicing lawyer. She currently works at the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia. Previously, she held the position of Assistant to the President of the Constitutional Court /Liaison officer in the Venice Commission/ where i.e she collaborated with international institutions such as European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR), partner Constitutional Courts. Ruzanna has also worked as a Legal Expert at the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and has experience practicing as an attorney-at-law. She holds two Master’s degrees—one in Law and another in European and International Governance from the Public Administration Academy of the Republic of Armenia and the University of Geneva and currently pursuing a PhD in Law.

Azerbaijan

Kifayat Valiyeva

Alat Free Economic Zone Authority

Kifayat Valiyeva is currently working as a Lawyer in Alat Free Economic Zone Authority in Azerbaijan. She was awarded for Presidential Scholarship in the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2020 for her outstanding academic achievements. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in law in Baku State University in 2024 with the GPA of 97, 98.  She was also participant in Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in 2022-2023 and is actively contributing to legal education as a coach the teams of Baku State University in this competition since 2023.

Georgia

Nino Mindiashvili

Ministry of Justice of Georgia

With extensive experience within the Ministry of Justice of Georgia, she currently serves as the Head of the Department of Agreements Expertise and Court Representation. Nino obtained an LL.M degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology and is a candidate for a PhD in Public Law at Caucasus University of Georgia. Her professional background encompasses significant tenures within public institutions, including the National Bank of Georgia, as well as managerial positions at The Ministry of Internal Affairs. Nino Mindiashvili’s responsibilities extend to representing the Ministry of Justice in negotiations with other states concerning international investment treaties and free trade agreements. She acts as a legal representative of the Ministry of Justice in proceedings before the Constitutional Court of Georgia.

Ani Gurashvili

Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia

Ani Gurashvili is a legal professional at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, specializing in EU integration and legal harmonisation in the agricultural sector. With over six years of experience in the public sector, she is currently pursuing a Master’s in International Law and European Integration, focusing her research on agriculture, contract farming and sustainable development. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Caucasus University and a Diploma in Migration Management from Maastricht University.

Kazakhstan

Shaimerden Chikanayev

Partner at GRATA International Law Firm and PhD researcher at the Chinese University of Hong Kong

Shaimerden Chikanayev is a Partner at GRATA International Law Firm and a PhD researcher in Law at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. With over 15 years of experience, he specialises in energy and infrastructure projects, public-private partnerships (PPPs), and cross-border transactions, particularly in Central Asia and post-Soviet Eurasia. As an international commercial lawyer, he has advised governments, international financial institutions, multilateral development banks, and private clients on complex legal matters, including project finance, security arrangements, and legislative reform. His current doctoral research focuses on harmonisation of laws on PPPs, comparative private law, and energy law, aiming to bridge the gap between legal theory and practice. Shaimerden is deeply committed to advancing legal harmonisation and the transnationalization of commercial law.

Kyrgyzstan

Natalia Alenkina 

Ala Too International University

Natalia Alenkina is an Associate Professor at Ala-Too International University and a licensed Advocate in Kyrgyz law. She serves as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic and is accredited by the Ministry of Justice as a legal and human rights expert.
Natalia is also a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR and acts as the Vienna International Arbitral Centre’s Ambassador in Kyrgyzstan. She contributed to the drafting of the Civil Procedure Code and the Law on Mediation of Kyrgyzstan and is currently advising the Ministry of Justice on the implementation of the Singapore Convention on Mediation. Her research focuses on alternative dispute resolution, arbitration, mediation, the privatization of justice, and legal pluralism.

Mongolia

Ulziibuyan Khishigsuren

Cabinet Secretariat of Government of Mongolia

Ulziibuyan is currently working as Specialist at the Legal Department, Cabinet Secretariat of Government of Mongolia. She holds two distinct Bachelor’s degrees in Business Law and Accounting from the University of Finance and Economics. She experienced in working with both law firms and government institutions, with a strong focus on supporting policy-making, legal analysis, and decision-making processes.

Dulguuntuul Ochirjav

Cabinet Secretariat of the Government of Mongolia

Dulguuntuul Ochirjav works as a lawyer (Government referent) at the Cabinet Secretariat of the Government of Mongolia. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the Law School of the National University of Mongolia and a Bachelor of Commerce from Griffith University, Australia. With over 12 years of experience, she has worked as a lawyer in various government organizations, including government agencies and ministries. Her main responsibilities include drafting government resolutions, preparing draft laws initiated by the government, and reviewing legislative proposals submitted by different ministries for government decisions.

Montenegro

Dejana Backović

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro

Montenegrin diplomat, working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2014. Most of her professional engagement has been within the Directorate General for International Legal Affairs, where she currently serves as Counsellor. She has participated in numerous conferences in the fields of international relations, diplomacy, and international law, and was a member of Montenegrin delegations during negotiations on the harmonization of international treaties. In the period from 2020 to the beginning of 2025, she was assigned to the Embassy of Montenegro in the Republic of Italy, where she was also responsible on a non-residential basis for the Republic of Malta, San Marino, the FAO, and other international organizations based in Rome. She holds a Law degree from the University of Montenegro and has enhanced her diplomatic knowledge and skills through diplomatic academies and training programs at the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany, the Netherlands Institute of International Relations (Clingendael), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, and the National Center for the Sea and Maritime Law (DEHUKAM) in Türkiye.

Serbia

Prof. Dr. Slobodan Vukadinović

Union University School of Law in Belgrade

Slobodan Vukadinović, Doctor of Law and Associate Professor at the Union University School of Law in Belgrade, teaches International Trade Law, Private International Law, and Law on Obligations, and serves as an external research associate at the Institute of Comparative Law in Belgrade. He previously worked as an advisor in the Legislative Sector of the National Assembly of Serbia and he is author of two books and over fifty scholarly articles, serving on the editorial boards of Legal Records and Foreign Legal Life. His academic and professional development includes research stays and specialized training across Europe, including Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Belgium, and Italy. In 2024, he was an independent researcher at UNIDROIT and later a research fellow at the European University Institute in Florence. He has contributed to legislative drafting and expert analyses in UNDP, OSCE, and EU projects and has worked as an independent and lead evaluator of mid-term and final evaluations of international projects.

Madinai Jabborzoda

Young Professional

Madina Jabborzoda is a legal professional from Tajikistan with experience in international law and diplomacy. Her work has focused on issues at the intersection of public and private law, particularly in relation to cross-border legal frameworks and their role in development. She has also examined the relevance of international instruments, including those developed by UNIDROIT, in advancing legal harmonization and cooperation.

Farangis Khasanova

Legal Researcher and Lawyer

Farangis Khasanova is a lawyer and legal researcher specializing in Civil Law, Private International Law, and Investment Law. She has experience drafting legislation in Uzbekistan, including incorporating UNIDROIT instruments into such developments. She currently works as a Senior Lawyer in the renewable energy sector and is pursuing a PhD in Private International Law at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Uzbekistan.

Diyorbek Kimsanov

Diyorbek Kimsanov is Director of Tashkent Mediation Center and Attorney at Law. Former Head of Arbitration & Litigation at Ministry of Justice, Senior Prosecutor at Prosecutor General’s Office, and Officer at President’s Administration. Currently serves as arbitrator at EDAC (Turkey) and mediator at AALCO HKRAC (Hong Kong). Adjunct Professor at Tashkent State University of Law and researcher specializing in ADR legislation and International Private Law. Consultant to OSCE, World Bank, USAID, and UNODC on legal reform and governance initiatives.

Uzbekistan

Boburbek Saidbekov

Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Boburbek Saidbekov is Head of the Department of International Legal Cooperation and International Ratings at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He is responsible for strengthening international legal cooperation, providing expertise on treaties and agreements, and contributing to the implementation of international standards into national legislation. He has extensive experience across various state institutions, mainly in the justice and prosecution bodies, with a focus on legislative reform, regulatory analysis, legal expertise, and supervision of the implementation of legislation.
