Mathias Ouedraogo, PhD

Ouagadougou Court of Appeal

Mathias is working as a Judge for the Ouagadougou Court of Appeal in Burkina Faso. He is currently working for the civil division and the criminal division of the Court. He obtained his Doctorate degree in International Law from the Thomas Sankara University of Burkina Faso. He also obtained a Master’s degree in Human Rights from the university of Nantes in France and another Master’s degree in International and Comparative Environment Law from the University of Limoges in France. He published a book as well as several articles in scientific journals on international law.

Anicet Hakizimana

Justice Minister’s Office

Anicet Hakizimana is Legal Advisor at Rwanda’s Ministry of Justice and National Focal Point for SDG implementation in the justice sector. He holds an LLB and a Master’s in Judiciary Law, with 18 years of experience in judicial and advisory roles. He served as Judge at the Commercial High Court (First Division) and later as Inspector of Justice. He represents the Ministry in legal disputes and is certified by UPEACE and OHCHR in operationalizing the Right to Development and SDGs.

Joelle Onana Mintang

Ministry of External Relations of Cameroon

Cameroonian diplomat, working in the Ministry of External Relations of Cameroon since 2016, currently a Deputy Head of office in charge of international agreements, in the Department of legal affairs and international commitments of the state. SHe holds LLB from the University of Buea (Cameroon), a Master I in public law from the University of Yaoundé II (Cameroon), a Master Degree in International Relations from the International Institute of Cameroon and a Master Degree in Human Rights and Humanitarian Actions from the Catholic University of Central Africa. She obtained two training certificates in human rights from the International Institute of Human Rights, Réné CASSIN Foundation and one training certificate of the diplomatic class from University of Senghor.

Sissi Moussa Mireille

Bertoua Court of First Instance and High Court

Sissi Moussa Mireille is a Magistrate and Deputy State Counsel at the Bertoua Court of First Instance and High Court, with over eight years of service under Cameroon’s Ministry of Justice. She holds a Master’s and Postgraduate Degree in Private Law, with a thesis on criminal procedure and ICTs. She provides expert legal advice on national and international law, human rights, and international cooperation agreements, and has extensive experience in legal drafting, regulatory guidance, and judicial administration.

Mohamed Salah Abdelmobdi

Egyptian Council of State

Mohamed Salah Abdelmobdi serves as a State Counselor for the Ministries of Health, Al-Azhar Affairs, and Endowments at the Egyptian Council of State. Recognized as a Distinguished Administrative Judge in 2023 by the Egyptian Ministry of Justice, he possesses a strong academic background, holding multiple Master of Laws degrees from Sciences Po-Strasbourg, Jean Moulin Lyon III, and Cairo universities, alongside an international diploma in public administration from INSP (ex/ ENA).

Mahmoud Magdi Mohamed Mohamed Essa Elshafie

The Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA)

Mr. Elshafie is a Senior Legislative Drafter at Egypt’s Financial Regulatory Authority. He also serves as an Investigator and Enforcement Officer in the Compliance Department. In this role, he is primarily responsible for supervising, regulating, and developing the legal and regulatory framework governing all non-banking financial activities in Egypt. He holds a First-Class Honors LL.B and an LL.M from Mansoura University, Egypt. Additionally, he earned an M.Sc. in Economics from Cairo University and an LL.M from Hamburg University.

Mr Khaled Doghiem began his career at the Egyptian Public Prosecution before joining the Egyptian Council of State, where he currently serves as a Pre-Trial Judge at the Supreme Administrative Court. Throughout his judicial career he has served in multiple chambers and gained substantial experience across a broad range of administrative and public law cases. He holds two Master of Laws degrees: one in Public Business Law from Lyon 3 University, and another in International and European Business Law from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University.

Nkambule M. Ngabisa

Office of the Attorney General

Nkambule Ngabisa is a Senior Parliamentary Counsel at the Attorney General’s Chambers, Eswatini, and an admitted attorney of the High Court. She has extensive experience in legislative drafting, legal advisory work, and compliance oversight. She holds an LLB from the University of Swaziland and a Diploma in Legislative Drafting from ILI-ACLE, and serves on several national boards and committees.

Nokwanda Nokukhanya Makhanya

Nokwanda Nokukhanya Makhanya is a Crown Counsel and admitted Attorney of the High Court of Eswatini. She holds an LL.B. from the University of Eswatini and is pursuing an LL.M. in Corporate Law from UNISA. Based in the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs- Attorney Generals Office, she advises ministries, drafts and vets agreements, and ensures legal compliance. She has contributed to high-value commercial deals, legal reform, and public procurement frameworks, with expertise in public, contract, and administrative law.

Desalegn Mengistie Mihretu

Desalegn Mengistie Mihretu is currently working as Strategic Affairs Director for the Ministry of Justice in Ethiopia; he obtained his Bachelor’s in Law from Ethiopian Civil Service University and his Masters in International Law from Ethiopian Civil Service University. He serves as a Public Prosecutor (Assistant Attorney General), Justice Reform program Director as well as an Advisor of Minster in Ministry of Justice.

Wondemagegn Sisay Tefera

Mr Wondemagegn Sisay Tefera is currently serving as a Public Prosecutor with the Ministry of Justice of Ethiopia. Previously worked as a Lecturer of Law at Salale University. In addition to his current prosecutorial role, he also contributes to legal education as a part-time Instructor of Law at the Ethiopian Civil Service University.

Kumba Mbye Esq.

Government of the Gambia

Kumba Mbye Esq. is a seasoned Legal Expert and Policy Analyst  with experience spanning over a decade. She is currently serving as a Technical Advisor to the Government of The Gambia. With a strong background in law and public policy, she plays a pivotal role in high-level negotiations and evidenced based policy development which  is instrumental in coordinating key national initiatives, including the implementation of the President’s flagship programs. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Wales and was called to the Bar at the Gambia Law School. Her expertise is further underscored by her previous service as a member of the General Legal Council of The Gambia, which is the statutory body responsible for the regulation and oversight of the legal profession in the Gambia.

Ethel Naa Adjekai Sowah Sackitey Esq.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Ethel Naa Adjekai Sowah Sackitey is a Foreign Service Officer and lawyer with expertise in diplomacy, international law, and strategic policy. She began her legal career in private legal practice before joining Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where she serves as an Assistant Director. Ethel holds degrees and a postgraduate diploma in marketing from Valley View University and CIM-UK, and law from the University of Cape Coast and Ghana School of Law. She is a Barrister and Solicitor of Ghana’s Supreme Court, and is pursuing a Master’s in International Affairs and Diplomacy at LECIAD, University of Ghana.

Ambrose Munene Njagi

Kenya Airports Authority

Ambrose Munene Njagi is Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a member of the Law Society of Kenya and the East Africa Law Society. He holds an MA in Environmental Law from the University of Nairobi, Post-Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law, Post-graduate Certificate in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment and LL.B (First Class Honours) from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa. Senior State Counsel Gazetted by the Attorney General of the Republic of Kenya, he serves as Legal Counsel at the Kenya Airports Authority advising on legal compliance, contract administration, and public infrastructure projects, with interests in international, environmental, and investment law.

Miriam Kakenya holds a Law degree from Moi University and a Postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over eight years of experience drafting clear and effective legislation for government ministries, departments, and state corporations. She currently serves as Principal Parliamentary Counsel in the Legislative Drafting Department, Office of the Attorney-General and Department of Justice. She was awarded the Order of the Grand Warrior (OGW) by the President of Kenya for her distinguished service.

Vidisha Vimi Sunkur

Vidisha practices law in the Republic of Mauritius as a State Counsel at the Attorney General’s Office. Her current work involves civil litigation and providing legal, advisory and legislative drafting services to the State. She was called to the Utter Bar of England and Wales in 2015 after completing her Bar Professional Training Course at the City University London. She is a member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple of the Utter Bar of England & Wales. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of Hertfordshire and her Masters of Laws focused on technology arbitration from the City University London. She also holds a Diplôme d’Université en Droit Civil Mauricien from the Université de la Réunion.

Izuoma  Egeruoh-Adindu, PhD

Nigeria Institute of Advanced Legal Studies

Dr. Izuoma Egeruoh-Adindu, Associate Research Professor at NIALS, holds a PhD in Environmental Law with 15+ years’ experience in teaching, research, and training. She has led major funded projects with support from UNESCO and the Ford Foundation, published 38+ peer-reviewed papers, and coordinated 60+ legal trainings. A Fellow of the Oxford School of Climate Change, she heads NIALS’ Public Law Department and Continuing Legal Education. She is active in community development. She is a UNIDROIT 2025 participant.

Samson is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria with 17 years’ experience in private law practice. He is a Notary Public and currently the Deputy Managing Partner at D. D. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from Benue State University Makurdi, Nigeria and an LLM in Energy and Natural Resources Law from Queen Mary University of London, as a Norton Rose Fulbright Scholar. Uzoamaka Obiageli Obidike is a legal practitioner with 24+ years’ experience across intergovernmental, private, and corporate sectors. She currently serves as Senior Legal Adviser in the Legal Affairs directorate at ECOWAS, specializing in public international law, treaty interpretation, and dispute resolution. She has led on key legal frameworks, including maritime security, AfCFTA, and ECOWAS policy instruments. She holds an LL.B. from the University of Lagos and an LL.M. from University of South Wales.

Mr. Martin Wilbert Kolikoli is the Registrar of the Capital Markets Tribunal of Tanzania, appointed in 2023. He has over a decade of public legal service, including senior roles at the Treasury Registrar’s Office. He holds an LL.M in International Commercial Law (Salford, UK), an M.A. in Revenue Law and Administration (Dar es Salaam), and an Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (UK). He is a certified Project Finance Analyst and a DBA candidate at Brentwood University.

Ziada Mkwazu Mkisaza, Adv

Adv. Ziada Mkwazu Mkisaza is an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania, an accredited Arbitrator and Mediator under the Ministry of Constitution and Legal Affairs, and founder and Managing Partner at MLF ATTORNEYS in Dar es Salaam. She holds an LLB, PGDL, and LLM in Alternative Dispute Resolution. A legal consultant, litigator, and former law lecturer, she has served on the Regional Ethics Committee and held leadership roles in TLS. She is a member of TLS, EALS, TAWLA, and MAMA LSN.

Yvonne Atwiine Mwesige

Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB)

Yvonne Atwiine Mwesige is a Senior Legal Officer at the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB), with over 12 years of experience in commercial law, secured transactions, and financial inclusion. She was instrumental in drafting Uganda’s Security Interest in Movable Property Act and establishing the SIMPO registry (Uganda’s movable collateral registry). She has worked with IFC and FSD Uganda on projects focusing on access to credit in the movable asset based lending industry and a legal lead in the integration of Uganda’s Motor Vehicle Registry with SIMPO. She holds an LLM from Uganda Christian University, a postgraduate diploma in legal practice, a certification in comparative secured transactions law from CEU, and an LLB from Makerere University.

Koreen Etambuyu Mwenda-Zimba

Hon. Mrs Justice Koreen Etambuyu Mwenda-Zimba is a Judge of the High Court, Commercial Division of Zambia. Appointed in 2019, she holds an LLM in Corporate and Commercial Law and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. A former Registrar and Senior Research Advocate, she has extensive experience in legislative drafting, mediation, and arbitration, and is a member of the International Association of Women Judges.

Rodgers Kabwe Kaoma

Rodgers Kabwe Kaoma serves as Registrar of the Supreme Court of Zambia and Special Assistant (Legal) to the Hon. Chief Justice since 2020. He was previously Registrar of the High Court (Commercial Division) and served as Senior Research Advocate in the Supreme Court (2013–2019) and Resident Magistrate (2010–2013). He holds an LL.B. from the University of Zambia, a Bar qualification post graduate certificate (Zambia Institute of Advanced Legal Education), and is a Member of CIArb (UK).
