Présentation d’UNIDROIT sur le droit de l’art et du patrimoine culturel aux Universités Fahrenheit de Gdańsk

Le 20 mai 2024, UNIDROIT a été invité à donner une conférence (en ligne, en anglais) sur le DROIT DE L’ART ET DU PATRIMOINE CULTUREL aux Universités Fahrenheit (Université de Gdańsk – Université de technologie de Gdańsk – Université de médecine de Gdańsk – https://faru.edu.pl/en) par le Prof. dr hab. Kamil Zeidler, Président du Département de théorie et de philosophie de l’État et du droit, Faculté de droit et d’administration de l’Université de Gdańsk. Le professeur Zeidler est également partenaire du Projet académique de la Convention d’UNIDROIT.

Après une brève présentation par le Prof. Zeidler, la session a été présidée par Mme Paula Chmielowska de la Faculté de droit et d’administration de l’Université de Gdańsk et Mme Marina Schneider, Juriste principale et Dépositaire des traités à UNIDROIT, a présenté les instruments d’UNIDROIT pour lutter contre le trafic illicite des biens culturels et le nouveau Groupe de travail sur les objets orphelins, avec un focus sur la Pologne. La conférence en ligne était également ouverte au public de l’extérieur de l’Université et a été suivie d’une séance animée de questions-réponses.

UNIDROIT’ lecture on Art & Cultural Heritage Law at Fahrenheit Universities in Gdańsk

On 20 May 2024, UNIDROIT was invited to give a lecture (on-line, in English) on ART & CULTURAL HERITAGE LAW at the Fahrenheit Universities (University of Gdańsk – Gdańsk University of Technology – Medical University of Gdańsk – https://faru.edu.pl/en) by Prof. dr hab. Kamil Zeidler, Chair of the Department of Theory and Philosophy of the State and Law, Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Gdańsk. Prof. Zeidler is also a partner of the UNIDROIT Convention Academic Project.

After a short presentation by Prof. Zeidler, the session was chaired by Ms Paula Chmielowsk from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Gdańsk and Ms Marina Schneider, Principal Legal officer and Treaty Depositary at UNIDROIT presented UNIDROIT’s instruments to fight against illicit trafficking in cultural property and the new Working Group on Orphan Objects, with a focus on Poland. The online lecture was also open for public from outside the University and was followed by an animated Q & A session.
