UNIDROIT Signs Memorandum of Understanding with KITLA

On 19 September, UNIDROIT and the Korea International Trade Law Association (“KITLA”) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a general framework for cooperation in areas of common interest, particularly in relation to international commercial law, transnational commercial law, private law harmonisation and other fields falling within UNIDROIT’s mandate and KITLA’s academic and professional activities.

The signing ceremony took place within the prestigious 20th Conference of Chief Justices of Asian and the Pacific in Seoul, where the MoU was signed by Professor Ignacio Tirado, Secretary-General of UNIDROIT, and Yun Jae Baek, Secretary General of KITLA, in the presence of, Prof. Gyooho Lee, Prof. Jong Hyeok Lee, Prof. Min Kyung Kim, Judge Jung Hwa You, as well as UNIDROIT Governing Council Member Prof. Inho Kim, Deputy Secretary General Prof. Anna Veneziano and Senior Legal Officer Jun-Woo Kim.

KITLA is an academic association established in Korea for the promotion of research, education, and scholarly and professional exchange in the fields of international trade law, international commercial law and related areas.
