What Past Participants Say
“As I delved deeper into the principles of the IPLD, I became aware of the various ways in which legal systems can either facilitate or hinder development efforts. This realization inspired me to be the ambassador of IPLD when it is about to discuss the role of international law in the development of countries. During my stay in Italy, I learnt case studies which reinforced my belief in the potential of law to drive positive change in my country.”
– Anicet Hakizimana, Legal Advisor in the Justice Minister’s Office, Burundi
“The Programme has given me valuable insights into new areas of law such as space assets, railway rolling stock, carbon credits, and other topics that are still emerging in our jurisdiction. It has also helped me understand where to find the relevant information and resources. Regarding transnational commercial law, including commercial contracts, the Cape Town Convention and its Protocols, the Programme has strengthened my knowledge and confidence. When I am confronted with disputes in these areas, I now feel well equipped with the information and expertise needed to address them effectively, which will greatly facilitate my work.”
– Hon. Mrs Justice Koreen Etambuyu Mwenda-Zimba, Judge of the High Court, Commercial Division of Zambia
