UNIDROIT welcomes the Republic of Singapore as a New Member

UNIDROIT is delighted to announce that Singapore formally acceded to the UNIDROIT Statute on 1 March 2023 and has designated the Ministry of Law as Singapore’s National Authority and contact point with the Institute.

With Singapore, UNIDROIT now counts 64 Member States and up to 127 so-called connected States, which have benefited from acceding to UNIDROIT’s instruments. This includes Singapore, which is a Party to two instruments adopted under the auspices of UNIDROIT – the 2001 Cape Town Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment and its 2001 Protocol on Matters Specific to Aircraft Equipment.

Singapore’s participation in UNIDROIT will strengthen the Institute’s presence in the APEC region and the Institute looks forward to a fruitful cooperation in the years to come.
