LUXEMBOURG RAIL PROTOCOL: UNECE MEETINGS ON THE PERMANENT IDENTIFICATION OF RAILWAY ROLLING STOCK

On 4-5 May 2022, UNIDROIT, represented by Deputy Secretary-General Professor Anna Veneziano, participated in the 5th  session of the Group of Experts on the Permanent Identification of Railway Rolling Stock, which addressed the development of the Model Clauses on the permanent marking on the Unique Rail Vehicle Identification System under the Luxembourg Rail Protocol.

From 1 to 3 June 2022, UNIDROIT also participated in the informal drafting group meeting set up at the fifth session of the Group of Experts on the Permanent Identification of Railway Rolling Stock (PIRRS) – with the aim of implementing the decisions taken at that session and finalise the draft Model Rules and the Terms of Reference for the Revision Committee.

The 6th session of the PIRRS Group of Experts is scheduled to take place in 29 – 30 August 2022.
