On 28 August 2025, Her Excellency, Ms Tamara Liluashvili, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Georgia in Italy, accompanied by Ms Diana Liparteliani, Representative of the Embassy of Georgia, visited UNIDROIT to deposit Georgia’s instrument of accession to the Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment and to the Protocol to the Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment on Matters specific to Aircraft Equipment. H.E. Ms Liluashvili and Ms Liparteliani were welcomed by Professor Ignacio Tirado, Secretary-General, Professor Anna Veneziano, Deputy Secretary General, and Ms Marina Schneider, Principal Legal Officer & Treaties Depositary.
Georgia made declarations under Articles 39(1)(a), 50, 54(1) and (2) of the Convention, and under Articles XIX(1) and XXX(1), (2), and (3) of the Aircraft Protocol. The Convention and the Aircraft Protocol will enter into force for Georgia on 1 December 2025.
